Paper Plate Lion
Materials:
- Paper Plates
- Orange and Yellow Yarn
- Glue
- Paint Brushes
- Googly Eyes
- Markers
Directions:
- Have you children color their paper plates to look like lions. Once they are done coloring they can glue two googly eyes in the center of the plate for eyes and yarn around the edge for a mane.
Animal Characteristics Graphing
Directions:
Describe body parts and physical characteristics of common animals, e.g., animals with fur, animals with feathers, animals with scales. Have your children name animals that have those characteristics and then graph them.

Zoo Cookies
Directions:
- Give your children animal crackers and q-tips. Have them dip their q-tips into different cups with corn syrup and food coloring. They can use their q-tips to paint onto their animal cookies.
