Paper Plate Lion
Materials:
- Paper Plates
- Orange and Yellow Yarn
- Glue
- Paint Brushes
- Googly Eyes
- Markers
Directions:
- Have you children color their paper plates to look like lions. Once they are done coloring they can glue two googly eyes in the center of the plate for eyes and yarn around the edge for a mane.
Zebra Marble Painting
Materials:
- White Construction Paper
- Black Paint in a Cup
- Marbles
- Box Lid
- Spoon
Directions:
- Place a white sheet of construction paper in the box lid. Have the children use their spoons to scoop out three marbles from the paint cup. Drop the marbles onto the paper and shake the box to make a Zebra print.
Bear Easel Painting
Materials:
- Easel
- Easel Paper
- Glue
- Coffee Grounds
Directions:
- Mix the glue and coffee grounds to make a paint consistency. Have your children use the coffee grounds mixture to paint a brown bear at the easel
Paper Plate Snakes
Materials:
- White Paper Plates
- Markers
- Safety Scissors
- Googly Eye
Directions:
Have your class color their entire paper plate to look like a snake (coloring both sides makes a neat effect. Once they are done coloring, help them to cut in a circular motion from the edge of the plate to the center. Once you are done cutting the plate will unwind to form a snake. Glue a Googly eye on the center head.
Zoo Collage
Materials:
- Animal Magazines
- Safety Scissors
- Glue
- Yarn
Directions:
- have your children cut out animal pictures and glue them to the paper. Cut string and have your children glue pieces of it from the top to bottom of their paper to make it look like the bars of a cage.
