Valentine Mailboxes

Materials:

  • One Small Box With Lid Per Child
  • Name Tag with Child's Picture and Name
  • Glue
  • Safety Scissors
  • Classroom Art Treasures
  • Red Spray Paint

Directions:

  • Spray paint the boxes and lid with red paint. Once the paint has dried cut out a mail slot into the top of each lid and put the boxes back together. Stick a special name tag on top of each child's box for them to write theri name on. Set out craft supplies (ribbons, buttons, beads, stickers etc) and have your children glue them to their boxes.


Valentines Day Store

Directions:

  • Set up a Valentines Day store. Put out valentines and valentines day supplieswith prices, a cash register, calculator, play money, receipt paper, bags. Let your children take turns being a customer and a employee.


I'm a Little Valentine (to the tune of: I'm a Little Teapot)

I'm a little valentine
Red and white,
With ribbons and lace
I'm a beautiful sight.

I can say "I love you,"
On Valentine's Day.
Just put me in an envelope
And give me away!



Valentine Mail

Directions:

  • Attach a piece of paper to your writing table with a picture of each child and their name written clearly beside it. Set out paper, pencils and stickers. Encourage your children to make a valentine for each child throughout the week. Help them practice their writting skills by asking them to write the child's name on the valentine.
