Valentine Mail

Directions:

  • Attach a piece of paper to your writing table with a picture of each child and their name written clearly beside it. Set out paper, pencils and stickers. Encourage your children to make a valentine for each child throughout the week. Help them practice their writting skills by asking them to write the child's name on the valentine.


Heart Cookie Cutters and Pink Play Dough

Directions:

  • Set out heart cookie cutters and play dough.


My Heartbeat

Directions:

  • Obtain cheap stethoscopes or make your own (tissue rolls). Let your children listen to each other heartbeats. Then have them exercise for a few minutes and listen to each other heartbeats again. See if they can tell a difference


Musical Valentine

Directions:

  • Arrange large hearts on the floor, one for every child. Play music, when it stops have evry child to find a heart to stand on. Remove one heart every time you stop the music. ask the child who does not have a heart to stand on to share with another child. Encourage the children sharing heart to hug. Continue palying until everyone is hugging and sharing hearts.


Musical Match-up

Directions:

  • Cut out large valentines day hearts for your class , one for every two children. Decorate each heart differently and then cut the in half in a zig zag pattern (make sure each is cut differently). Give each child a heart half and turn on some music. Have your children dance around and find their other heart partner when the music stops.
