Sponge Shape Painting
Materials:
- Sponges cut into a variety of shapes
- Paint
- Construction Paper
Directions:
- Sponge Paint with all of the different shapes. Help your children identify what each shape is.
Shape Sorting
Directions:
- Cut out different sized shapes from different colors of paper and mix them up. Let your children sort them by shapes.
Do You Know What Shape This Is
(To the tune of: Do You Know The Muffin Man)
Do you know what shape this is?What shape this is? What shape this is?
Do you know what shape this is, I'm holding in my hand?
Note: Hold up a different shape each time and have your children yell out the shape.
Shape Hunt
Directions:
- Go on a shape hunt with your classroom. Have your childeren help you look for certain shapes in the classroom.
