Penguin Potato
Materials:- Potato (one cut in half, and one cut long ways)
- Paint
- Construction Paper
- After talking about penguins give the children the supplies give them the supplies. If the children choose to they can make great penguin design by painting with potatoes. If they don't use it as a stamp they will surely find some use for it.
Are You as Tall as a Penguin
Get a life size penguin from your local school supply store and measure the
kids against it to see if they are as tall as a penguin (roughly 2ft 6in)

One royal penguin . .feeling very blue (hold up one finger)Called for his brother then there were two (hold up two fingers)
Two royal penguins. . .swimming in the sea (swimming motion)
Called for their sister then there were three (hold up three fingers)
Three royal penguins waddle on the shore (waddle)
Call for their mother, then there were four (hold up four fingers)
Four royal penguins learning how to dive (Make diving motion)
Call for their father, then there were five (hold up five fingers)
Match The Eggs
Get an egg carton and color the inside (where the eggs sit) various colors.
Have the children match the colors with those of Easter eggs and sort the eggs
