Leaf Rubbings
Materials:
  • Firm Leaves
  • Crayons without paper wrapper
  • Copy paper
  • Scotch tape
Directions:
  • Place a small piece of tape on the underside of leaves and tape to table. Place the paper over the leaves and rub the side of the crayon over the paper. The leaves shape and features will appear. You may want to tape the paper down too for younger children.


Fall Tree
Materials:
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue
What to do
  • Give the children a piece of construction paper with a tree trunk drawn or glued to it. Give them smallsmall pieces of red, yellow, orange, and brown paper. Let them tear the colored paper into small pieces and glue on the tree and ground of the picture.


Leaf Wreath
Materials:
  • Leaves (various colors)
  • Paper Plate
  • Glue
What to Do
  • Have your children collect interesting leaves. Next, cut the center of the plate out and let your children attach their leaves. This makes a really cute Leaf Wreath.


Leaf Easel Painting
Materials:
  • Easel paper cut into a leaf shape
  • Fresh green leaves
  • Paint
What to Do
  • Attach large leaf shape paper to easel. Have children dip fresh green leaves into the paint and then use as a paint brush. Each leaf will make a different design and create a unique picture.


Nature Collage
Materials:
  • Items collected from nature walk
  • Contact paper
What to Do
  • Take your class on a nature walk in search of fall items. After returning to the classroom tape a large sheet of contact paper sticky side up your classroom wall at your childrens level. Have them place their newly found items onto the paper to create a classroom nature collage.
