Blooming Friendships
Materials:
- Paint
- Bulleting Board paper
- Paint each child’s hand a bright color and stamp it onto your bulletin board paper. After the handprints have dried paint flower stems down from each handprint and write the child’s name. Title your bulletin board “Friendships Bloom Here.”
Fingerprint Comparison
Provide your children with stamp pads and magnifying glasses. Have them make
fingerprints on the paper and then use the magnifying glasses to examine their
prints. Encourage them to find the similarities and differences between their
own prints and their friends print.
Friend of Mine
(to the tune of: Mary had a little lamb)Will you be a friend of mine,
Friend of mine, friend of mine?
Will you be a friend of mine
and (choose an action) around with me?
My Preschool Friends Book
Send a friendship sheet home with each child for the parent to fill
out. On the sheet ask the following questions: favorite food, family members,
favorite toy, favorite book, and favorite thing to do as a family. Ask the parents
to fill out the sheet and send it back with a picture of their child attached
to the center. Once you have received all of the sheets laminate them and bind
them all together. Let your children take turns taking the book home to share
with their family. How to Lose All Your Friends
