Family Puppets
Materials:
  • Multicultural colored paper
  • Glue
  • Yarn
  • Markers
  • Fabric pieces
  • ribbon
  • Popsicle sticks
Directions:
  • Before the children arrive at school cut out the paper into gingerbread man shapes (small, medium, and large). Have your children decorate the gingerbread men to represent members of their family. After the puppets are dry you can have a class puppet show.

Directions:
  • Ask each child how many people are in their family and graph the results. Depending on your class you may want to separate the categories by siblings, pets, grandparents, etc.

Baby Care
Directions:
Put warm water in your sensory table with a little baby wash. Provide terry cloths, sponges, dolls, small empty bottles of baby shampoo, baby oil, towel, diaper and clothing. Discuss caring for babies, encouraging them to be gentle and keeping the head above water.
