Desert Scene
Materials:- Paint
- Paper
- Various Other Art Supplies
- Give your children the
materials and tell them to create a desert scene.
Some great scenes that my children have done are: - One child used different colored chalks (red, pink, purple, and yellow) to make streaks (sunset) on black paper while gluing on green cactuses.
- Another child painted a ghost town.
Desert Sensory Table
Make your sand table into a desert sensory table. Add fake cactuses and fake
lizards.
Have you ever seen a lizard?
(Sung to: "Have you ever seen a lassie")Have you ever seen a lizard, a lizard, a lizard?
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in Green?
With Green eyes, and Green nose,
And Green legs and Green toes.
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in Green?
Have you ever seen a lizard, a lizard, a lizard?
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in Red?
With Red eyes, and Red nose,
And Red legs and Red toes.
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in Red?
Have you ever seen a lizard, a lizard, a lizard?
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in White?
With White eyes, and White nose,
And White legs and White toes.
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in White?
Have you ever seen a lizard, a lizard, a lizard?
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in Blue?
With Blue eyes, and Blue nose,
And Blue legs and Blue toes.
Have you ever seen a lizard all dressed up in Blue?
Cactus Garden
Buy several cactus from a local store and let your children explore them. Be sure to tell them not to touch as cactus can hurt. Listen to the Desert
