Glue Colors

Materials:

  • White Glue
  • Food Coloring
  • Construction Paper
  • Cups

Directions:

  • Fill cups half way full with white glue and then add enough food coloring to change the color. Let your children dip their popsicled sticks into the glue and then drip them onto their paper. Encourage them to try dripping from up high and down low to see how the drops change. They can also use the sticks to rub colors together to make new colors.


Sorting Colors

Directions:

  • Have your children sort different manipulatives in your class by color. You can use buttons, pegs, bears, buttons etc.

Match It

Directions:

Get two empty egg cartons and twenty-four small rocks that fit in the eggcups. Paint the rocks and corresponding sections of the egg carton with various. When the rocks have dried, hide them in you sand table. Have students go on a color dig to hunt for rocks and match them to the correct sections of the egg carton.
