Color Day
Directions:
- Pick a color and have a color day with your class. Ask your children to dress in a certain color and focus the entire day around a color. Make sure your whole snack is only one certain color. Ex. Red snack- red punch, strawberries, red mm's, red grapes etc.
Colorful Toast
Directions:
- Pour Condensed milk into bowls for your children. Add different colors of food coloring to the milk. Give the kids paint brushes and cookie cutters. Let them paint the bread with colored milk and cut out their favorite shapes. When they are done you can toast like usual.
Macaroni Necklaces
Directions:
- Dye macaroni noodles every color of the rainbow. Once they are dry help you children string them onto a lanyard cord to make rainbow necklaces.
Rainbow Snack
Directions:
- Make all six colors of Jell-O: cherry, orange, lemon, lime, berry blue, and grape. After the Jell-O has set spoon one spoonful of each flavor into clear cup. Top with a cloud of whip cream you have an eadible rainbow.
Match It
Directions:
Get two empty egg cartons and twenty-four small rocks that fit in the eggcups. Paint the rocks and corresponding sections of the egg carton with various. When the rocks have dried, hide them in you sand table. Have students go on a color dig to hunt for rocks and match them to the correct sections of the egg carton.
