Shredded Wheat Ornaments

Materials:

  • Shredded Wheat Cereal
  • Glue
  • Food Coloring
  • Cardboard Circles
  • Pictures of Your Children
  • Ribbons

Directions:

  • Place shredded wheat in a freezer ziploc bag and seal it. Have your children take turns pounding it with a mallet. Once the shredded wheat is crushed pour it into a large bowl, squirt in glue and green food coloring. Have your children continue adding glue until the mixture is thick and green. Help each child take out a handful of the dough and shape into a wreath the size of your cardboard circles. Let dry overnight. Place the child's picture onto the cardboard circle and the glue the wreath onto the circle. Attach a red box to the bottom of your wreath. You can also attach a ribbon to the back to make it into an ornament.


Christmas Card Puzzles

Directions:

  • Cut Christmas cards into puzzle shapes, give each child one card and have them put it together to make a Christmas picutre.

(Put hands behing back.)

(Make a big belly with arms.)
Merry, Merry Christmas!
(Sing in Santa voice.)
Merry, Merry Christmas!
Ho-ho-ho! Ho-ho-ho!
(Put hands behind back.)

Decorate The Tree

Directions:

  • Cut out Christmas trees with felt. Next cut out ornament shapes out of different colored felt. Let your children decorate the felt Christmas trees. For older children tell them how many ornaments to put on the tree or have them roll dice to decide.
