Christmas Stockings
Materials:
- Poster Board
- Hole Punch
- Yarn
- Tape
- Glitter
- Glue
- Markers
Directions:
- Cut out two stocking pieces per child from posterboard (making sure they are the exact same size. Hold two stocking pieces together and punch holes around the edge, leaving the top hole free. Wrap tape around the end of a piece of yarn and have your children lace their stockings together. Once they aredone lacing their stockings knot the yarn and encourage them to decorate with markers and glitter.
Christmas Count Down Chain
Directions:
Cut out twenty four 4"x1" links and one red bell for each child. Help your children number the the links from 1-24 and then attach them to form a chain from 24 to 1, attach the top link to the bell. Explain that each day they will be able to tear off one link and when they reach the bell it will be Christmas.
The Reindeer Pokey
You put your red nose in.You put your red nose out.
You put you red nose in,
And you shake them all about.
You do the Reindeer Pokey,
And you turn yourself around.
That's what it's all about!
You put your tail in....
You put your hoves in....
You put your antlers in...
You put your reindeer body in...
Parachute Jingle Bells
Directions:
- Place small bells on a parachute or sheet. Have each of your children grab a part of the parachute. As you all sing Jingle Bells have your children move the parachute to jingle the bells. At the end of the song have everyone raises their arms quickly which will send the bells flying.
