Reindeer Doormats

Materials:

  • Carpet Squares Home Depot and Carpet stores will often give you these for free if you tell them you are a teacher)
  • Fabric Paint

Directions:

  • Paint your child foot brown and stamp onto the middle of the carpet square. Paint both hands brown and stamp onto the top sides of the footprint (by the toes). Once the foot and handprints are dry you can use black paint to make eyes and red for a shiny red nose. The foot is the reindeers face and the hands are the antlers.


Bell Science

Directions:

  • Place a varitey of bells in your science area. Have your children shake the bells to see if size affects their shape. You can also put out socks, boxes etc. have your children place the bells into the containers to see howe they sound once they are covered up.


Way Up High In The Christmas Tree
Way up highon the Christmas tree (reach hand towards to sky)

2 little candy canes smiled at me

so i shook that tree as hard as i could (put arms out and shake)

and down came the candy canes

Umm they were good! (rub your tummy)



Homeliving Christmas Store

Directions:

  • Set up your homeliving area as a store. Place boxes on shelves and wrapping paper, tape, Safety Scissors and ribbons on a table. Let your children pick out boxes and then wrap them to put under your christmas tree or around your homeliving area. You can ask parents to donate ribbons, boxes, and wrapping paper.
