Hand Apple Tree
Materials:
- Brown, red, yellow, and green paint
- Construction paper
- Paint your childs arm (up to elbow) and hand brown. Have them stamp it down onto the paper. Let them use their finger and thumb prints to make red, yello, and red apple prints on to the finger branches of their arm tree.
Seed Counting
After talking about the growth of an apple tree from seed to tree to apple and
back to see show the kids an apple and let them guess the number of seeds in
it. Then carefully cut open the apple and find out how many there really are.
So you don't waste the apple you can have apple slices for snack.
Apples are Falling
(to the tune of : Are you Sleeping?)Apples are falling, apples are falling
From the tree, from the tree.
Pick up all the apples, pick up all the apples,
One. two, three; one, two,. three.
Pass the Apple
Play like hot potato. The children pass an apple until the music stops. Who
ever is holding it when the music stops is sent to the apple patch (the center
of the circle)
