Stained Glass Apples
Materials:
  • Contact Paper
  • Waxed Paper
  • Tissue Paper or Construction Paper Leaves (optional)
  • Pipe Cleaner or Sticks (Optional)
  • Yarn
  • Glue
What to do
  • Give the kids the contact paper (or glue and wax paper) cut out as apples. Then Let your kids make their own stain glass apples. Let them be as creative as they want to be. Some will make multi-colored apples with worms (Yarn makes great worms) in them, while others will make a plain red apple. After they have dried hang them in the window to make a beautiful collage.

Apple Halves
Cut an apple in half and cover one side with lemon juice and leave one alone. Ask the children what they think will happen to each side. Create hypothesis and form a conclusion.

The Apple Tree
Way up high in the apple tree (raise arms and sway like a tree)
Two red apples smiled at me. (Keeping arms raised close hands into fists)
I shook that tree as hard as I could (shake arms)
Down came the apples. (shake to the ground)
Mumm they were good (take a pretend bite and then rub belly)

How Many Apples
Have each child lay and the ground and have a friend place apples by their side to see "how many apples they are"
