Apple Prints
Materials:
  • Apples cut in half perpindicular to the core (so you can see the star)
  • Paint on paper plates
  • Thick Paper
Directions:
  • Cut the Apples in half vertically and horizontally. Stamp the apple into the paint and then onto the paper. (I prefer to pour the paint onto a sponge and have them stamp onto the sponge in order to avoid getting too much paint)


Stained Glass Apples
Materials:
  • Contact Paper
  • Waxed Paper
  • Tissue Paper or Construction Paper Leaves (optional)
  • Pipe Cleaner or Sticks (Optional)
  • Yarn
  • Glue
What to do
  • Give the kids the contact paper (or glue and wax paper) cut out as apples. Then Let your kids make their own stain glass apples. Let them be as creative as they want to be. Some will make multi-colored apples with worms (Yarn makes great worms) in them, while others will make a plain red apple. After they have dried hang them in the window to make a beautiful collage.


Hand Apple Tree
Materials:
  • Brown, red, yellow, and green paint
  • Construction paper
What to Do
  • Paint your childs arm (up to elbow) and hand brown. Have them stamp it down onto the paper. Let them use their finger and thumb prints to make red, yello, and red apple prints on to the finger branches of their arm tree.


Apple Rolling
Materials:
  • Red apple
  • Green apple
  • Yellow apple
  • Three bowls: one with yellow paint, one with red paint, and one with green paint
  • Construction paper
  • Sturdy box lid
What to Do
  • Place each apple into the bowl of paint that matches its color. Placethe paper in the box and have the children place the paint dipped apples (one at a time) in the box . Let the children move the box from side to side or shake the bin to get the paint dipped apple to move around. Use all three colors and the apples will drag the paint, creating a beautiful design on the paper. Sing this fun song while creating your apple roll art. To the tune of Row Row Row Your Boat. Roll roll roll the apple, Watch the colors blend, Make the colors move around, And then we'll do it again!


Apple Cookie Cutter Creations
Materials:
  • Several apple cookie cutters or sponge stamps
  • Red, Yellow, and green paint
  • Construction paper
What to Do
  • Stamp the cookie cutters into the paint to make different apple colored prints. Music
